This set along with the paintings in the previous posts make up the fall 2010 semester of "word of the week" collaboration paintings with Javier Villanueva done for Nathan Ota's Communication Studio III class. We executed one painting a week, nearly all of which are over 5'x4' the last two being 8'x4' and both eight footers completed the last week of Com classes in addition to personal projects/ assignments for this same class and all our other classes.
Collaboration with Javier Villanueva illustrating the word "spooky." This was done on an old bar door we found outside of The Shack ( a really good burger place out by the beach). We walked the soaking wet solid wood door three miles from the restaurant to Otis.
A collaboration with Javier Villanueva. We are going to be doing lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of these. Painted on the trunk deck of an old Pontiac Grand Am.
so here is some more of the crap that ive been doing... the set of four skateboards is now on display in Active Ride Shop in San Dimas with more on the way. The photo quality sucks... I was too lazy to scan them.
